The Midwest Collegiate Conference has announced its all-conference honors for the 2009-10 men's golf season.
St. Ambrose senior Dusty Drenth (Davenport, Iowa) was voted as Player of the Year. It is the second straight year Drenth has won the honor.
"Dusty is very deserving of the honor to be voted MCC men's Golf Player of the Year for the second straight year," said St. Ambrose Head Coach Jeff Griebel. "He has had a tremendous 2009-10 season and I am very appreciative of his hard work and dedication to the golf program at St. Ambrose University."
Chris Winkel of Grand View was chosen by his peers as Coach of the Year. Winkel took the Vikings to their first-ever conference title and berth to the NAIA National Championships.
"Chris has worked very hard to elevate the Grand View men's golf program to the top of the MCC over the past few years," said Grand View Athletic Director Troy Plummer. "It is an acknowledgement of his efforts that his peers nominated him for this honor."
