Oskaloosa--Six teams will seek out league hardware this weekend as the Midwest Collegiate Conference Indoor Track and Field Championships will be hosted Saturday.
The Championships will be held at the Westwood Sports Complex in Sterling, Ill. with a total of 18 events being contested on both the men's and women's sides.
Grand View will be defending titles on both sides. The Viking women have won all five Championships that have thus far been contested since 2008, while the Viking men are three-time winners, including two in a row.
Entering Saturday, the St. Ambrose men lead the MCC in seven events, while Grand View and William Penn are at the top in five events each. Mount Mercy is the best in one event.
The Mount Mercy women headline six events going into the Championships, while Grand View and St. Ambrose hold the lead in four events. Clarke and William Penn both enter Saturday with the best marks in two events.
Updates will be available at the conclusion of each event on the MCC's Facebook (Midwest Collegiate Conference) and Twitter (@MCC_NAIA) pages.
