Four Midwest Collegiate Conference teams received their first round pairings when the NAIA released the brackets on Thursday for the men's and women's Division II basketball tourneys beginning next week.

Grand View and Mount Mercy both received high seeds in the women's tourney to be held in Sioux City, with Grand View claiming a No. 2 seed and Mount Mercy receiving a No. 3 seed in their respective eight-team brackets. Mount Mercy will begin play on Wednesday, March 7 at 9:15 p.m. against Southwestern (Kan.), while Grand View will open against St. Mary (Neb.) on Thursday at 8:45 p.m.

St. Ambrose and William Penn both received their matchups for the first round of the men's tourney in Point Lookout, Mo. SAU received the No. 16 seed in the 32-team bracket and begins play on Wednesday at 4 p.m. against Marian (Ind.). Penn drew the No. 3 overall seed in Davenport (Mich.) and will begin its tourney play Thursday at 4 p.m. 

Both the NAIA Division II men's and women's basketball tourneys will run from March 7-13, with the men's championships taking place at Keeter Gymnasium on the campus of the College of the Ozarks and the women's tourney being held at the Tyson Events Center in Sioux City.
