Penn Picks Up Iowa Prep for Cross Country and Track
Oskaloosa--William Penn University cross country and track coach Daniel Alvarado has announced the signing of Kory Krenz to a National Letter of Intent to attend the University in the fall and compete for the cross country and track programs.
Krenz, the son of Bill and Paula Pontzius, is from Columbus Junction. He currently attends Columbus Junction HS where he has qualified for three state cross country meets in his prep career, including finishing as high as 70th in the 5K race in a time of 18:37 this past fall.
"I am very excited to have Kory coming to Penn," Coach Alvarado said. "I look for him to battle for one our top seven spots right away. He comes from a great program at Columbus Junction that has a reputation for doing well at big meets and is very successful as a team."
