Dustin Bierman joins Ashford Coaching Staff
Ashford University has announced the hiring of Dustin Bierman to serve as the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach and Head Women’s Golf Coach. Dustin joins the Saints’ coaching staff after a three year stint at the University of Dubuque.
Athletics Director Meg Schebler said, “We are thrilled to have Dustin join us. His experience in recruiting will definitely benefit our men’s basketball program, and we look forward to his contributions with our women’s golf team as well.”
Andy Eberhart, Head Men’s Basketball Coach at Ashford is excited as well. “Dustin has the energy and enthusiasm to help our men’s basketball team become a top contender. His ability to identify top talent will definitely help us in accomplishing our goals.”
Bierman, a native of Newton, IL, began playing collegiately at Parkland Community College in Champaign, IL. He transferred to the University of Dubuque where he completed his career in 2002. While there he was named the team’s MVP, and became an Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach in 2003. He was named Head Women’s Golf Coach in the Fall of 2004.
Bierman received his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of Dubuque and is scheduled to complete his Master’s Degree in Sports Administration from Loras College this May. He will officially begin his duties with the university on May 1st, 2006.
