SUBJECT: NAIA All-Region VII Volleyball Teams Announced
The Midwest Classic Conference was well represented on the NAIA All-Region VII Teams announced Wednesday. Nine of eighteen members of the All-Region Teams were from the MCC. The remaining nine were selected from the Chicagoland Conference. Named to the First Team from the MCC were First Team: Luren Baylon (Iowa Wesleyan), Jenny Buelow (Ashford), Kelly Grimes (St. Ambrose), Tina Kruckenberg (Iowa Wesleyan), Jeni Streb (Mount Mercy); Second Team: Stacy Cook (Ashford), Kate Ripperger (Mount Mercy), Sheena Sullivan (Waldorf), and Renae Walker (William Penn). Iowa Wesleyan senior middle hitter Baylon and Iowa Wesleyan head coach Brian Dickens were named the Region VII Player and Coach of the Year; Ashford’s Cook was named Region Libero of the Year.
