SUBJECT: Gunsaulus signs letter of intent with Grand View soccer  and basketball programs

Des Moines, IA – Molly Gunsaulus (Newton, Iowa) has signed a letter of intent with the Grand View women's soccer and basketball programs.

In soccer, Gunsaulus is two-time all-conference forward for Newton High School. In 2005, she was named her team’s Most Valuable Player and led the Cardinals in assists and was second on the team in goals scored.

“Molly is an exciting player to watch and we are happy to have her as part our squat next fall.  She brings speed, skill and extensive varsity experience from a strong soccer program at Newton High School. Molly’s main attributes as a player are her soccer intelligence and game intuition.  I am looking forward to coach Molly and help her develop further as player over the next four years," said Grand View women’s soccer head coach Ventsi Stoimirov.

In basketball, Molly is a two-time all conference selection and three-year letter winner for the Cardinals. She also served as this year’s tem captain.

“We are very excited to have Molly as a part of the Grand View basketball program. Molly is a very smart player with good court awareness and tremendous work ethic,” said women’s basketball head coach Garey Smith.

Gunsaulus is the daughter of Randy and Vicki Gunsaulus of Newton.  She plans to study Business Administration while at Grand View.
