The St. Ambrose women's basketball program and head coach Amy Eagan are proud to announce the signing of Cambridge High School guard Jenny Clark. Clark has already experienced a distinguished high school career, and hopes for continued success at the next level. This marks Eagan's first ever signing as a head coach.
Clark averaged 19 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.7 assists, and 5.4 steals per game this season for the Lady Vikings, earning her 1st Team All-Conference for the third consecutive year, as well as Honorable Mention All-State honors for the second year in a row. Clark finished her high school career as the third leading scorer in Cambridge history with 1,313 points. She also set the school record for most points in a single game, scoring 39 points in one contest this year. Clark was named Team MVP and best offense this season on a team that finished 18-6 and reached the IHSA regional semifinals.
Clark was named All-area player of the year in 2005 by the Moline Dispatch. That same year, she also advanced to state in the three-point shootout.
"We feel very fortunate to have a player of the caliber of Jenny Clark joining our program. Jenny will bring a lot to the table, both offensively and defensively and will give us depth at the guard position. She will be an asset to our program both academically and athletically and I look forward to coaching her during the next four years," head coach Amy Eagan said.
