The fourth and final round of the NAIA Men's Golf Championships took place today at TPC Deere Run Golf Course in Silvis, Ill. The Grand View golf team began the final round in fifth place after shooting a tournament low score of 291 on Thursday. The Vikings were solid again today with a team score of 302 to give the team the sixth best overall score at the Championships and the highest finish in program history.

Two Grand View players finished in the top 20 of the individual standings. Junior Rick Fee (Phoenix, Ariz.) placed 11th overall with a four-day score of 294 (77-74-71-72) and sophomore Josh Manske (Algona, Iowa) finished 14th (69-78-72-77). Both Fee and Manske were named to the All-Tournament team, an honor given to the top 16 individuals.

Freshman Aaron Ahrendsen (Manning, Iowa) had an impressive showing at the championships. Ahrendsen tied for 38th place with a 303 (74-81-79-78). Senior Graeme Molloy (Glasgow, Scotland) completed his career by shooting his lowest round of the tourney today and finished tied for 69th place (77-80-80-75). Sophomore Yousaf Khan (Surrey, England) matched his tournament low round today with a 78 and ended up tied for 83rd (80-81-78-78).

Following the championship, the NAIA PING All-American Team was announced. Ten players were named to the All-America Team including Grand View's Manske.

"I am really proud of this team and what they have accomplished this year. Finishing sixth in the national tournament is a very fitting end to a phenomenal year. We won five tournaments, two team members make the all-tournament team, and Josh Manske was voteda Ping All- American. This is a very special team and has been a very rewarding season," said Coach Winkel.
