Three runners will represent the Midwest Classic Conference at the NAIA national championships this Saturday, November 18, in Louisville, Kentucky.

 For the women, Mount Mercy College freshman Mallory Marshall and junior Katie Larsen finished fifth and seventh, respectively, out of a field of 133 runners at the 2006 NAIA Region VII Women’s Cross Country Championships.

Marshall, the 2006 Midwest Classic Conference Harrier of the Year, placed fifth with a time of 19:23.09 in the women’s 5K. Larsen, also an all-conference runner this fall, finished seventh in 19:43.66.

For the men, Grand View College junior Michael Stevens finished eighth in the field of 84 runners at the Region VII Championships with a time of 27:03. Stevens was an all-conference performer this fall and also qualified for the national championships in 2005.
