St. Ambrose held off Grand View and Ashford to win the MCC Men's Indoor Track & Field title at the second annual conference championships held Saturday in Sterling, Ill.

The Fighting Bees finished with 183 points, winning five of 18 events. SAU finished ahead of Grand View (146.5) and Ashford (133.5). William Penn was fourth with 112 points and was followed by Clarke (56), Iowa Wesleyan (30) and Mount Mercy (28).

Gabriel Green of William Penn was named MCC Men's Indoor Track Athlete of the Year. Green won the 55 (6.51), 200 (22.46) and 400 (50.33), setting meet records in all three events. He met the NAIA ‘B' standard for qualification to the national championships in the 55 dash.

Royce Clay of William Penn was named the MCC Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Year. Clay won the long jump (7.03m) and finished second in the triple jump (14.04m), setting a new meet record and meeting the NAIA ‘A' standard in the long jump.

Chris Adams of Ashford and Dan Tomlin of St. Ambrose were both named MCC Indoor Track & Field Co-Coaches of the Year
