The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially released the opening round matches for the 30th Annual NAIA Volleyball National Championship. The top 11 teams will receive a bye, while the next 24 teams will play in the opening round matches on Nov. 21. All matches will be played at on-campus sites.

St. Ambrose, who won the Midwest Collegiate Conference regular season and tournament championships, will host the College of the Ozarks (Mo.) in an opening round match in Lee Lohman Arena on Saturday at 3 p.m.

The Bees have a 34-7 overall record while the College of the Ozarks has a 26-10 mark and won the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference tournament championship after finishing second in the league during the regular season.

The winners of the National Championship Opening Round matches, in addition to host school Morningside (Iowa), will advance to the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena in Sioux City, Iowa, location of the NAIA National Championship presented by Siouxland Sports Medicine Foundation Dec. 1 - 5.

The following teams have received an opening round bye and will advance to the final site: Azusa Pacific University (Calif.), Biola University (Calif.), California Baptist University, College of Idaho, Columbia College (Mo.), Concordia University (Calif.), Fresno Pacific University (Calif.), Georgetown College (Ky.), Northwestern College (Iowa), University of Texas at Brownsville and Vanguard University (Calif.).

The final 24 teams will be placed into six pools and will play a round robin pool play Dec. 2-4, with the top two teams from each pool advancing to the single elimination bracket starting Dec. 4. The championship match will take place at 8 p.m. (CST) on Dec. 5.

Final site pool assignments and schedule will be announced by on Nov. 22 by 6 p.m. (CST).
