The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has officially released the Women's Soccer National Championship Opening Round bracket and matchups for the 26th annual event. The National Championship Opening Round takes place on Saturday, Nov. 21 and is hosted by 16 different schools. The winners of the National Championship Opening Round games will advance to the National Championship final site from Nov. 30 - Dec. 5 in Decatur, Ala.

The Grand View University women's soccer team, making its first national tournament appearance, will travel to Riverside, California, to take on No. 3 seed California Baptist University. The Lancers (15-4-1) were the No. 8 team in the nation in the final 2009 NAIA Women's Soccer Coaches' Top 25 Poll and will be making their second consecutive national championship appearance; it's third in the program's history having also qualified in 2003.

"It is exciting to get to our first NAIA National Tournament. We had a very challenging season, feathering many ranked teams and that experience proved very valuable during the play offs. It is an honor to face the #3 seed in the country, California Baptist. They had a tremendous season defeating the #1 seed for the upcoming tournament, Lindsey Wilson, as well as the 2008 National Champion Lee University and national runner-up Concordia University. It is the type of challenge every player and every coach is dreaming for," said Head Coach Ventsi Stoimirov.
