The National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) recently announced its Top Ten All-Academic Teams, based on GPA's submitted for the 2008-09.

The Grand View softball program was recognized by the NFCA as a top academic program in the NAIA, coming in eleventh on the honors list with a team GPA of 3.322.

"At Grand View we want to make sure we represent ourselves and our school in positive manner. It is more than game of softball although softball is important. The most important thing we do here at Grand View is to produce productive citizens. Academic endeavors and degree aspirations are ultimately the most important thing in a student-athlete's life," said head coach Lou A. Yacinich.
