The Grand View women dominated the field and brought home the title today at the MCC Track & Field Championships today in Dubuque. The Vikings won 12 of the 21 events, set three meet records, and finished with a team score of 268 at the two-day meet. Runner-up St. Ambrose came in 99 points behind the Vikings with 169 points.

Grand View freshman Obsie Birru (Des Moines, Iowa) was named the MCC Women's Track Athlete of the Year. Birru took first place in the 800m Run (2:22.16), 1,500m Run (4:51.27), 5,000m Run (18:57.34 meet record), and the 10,000m Run (38:28.24 meet record).

Clarke senior Emily Brown (Delano, Calif.) was deemed the MCC Women's Field Athlete of the Year. Brown won the Discus (123'6") and the Hammer (176'6" meet record), placed third in the Shot Put (37'5"), and was sixth in the Javelin (105'4").
