Clarke College senior thrower Emily Brown has added another All-American honor to her growing list of accomplishments. Brown, who hails from Delano, Calif., placed second in the women's weight throw competition at the NAIA Indoor Track and Field National Championships to earn NAIA All-American honors for the second straight year. The event was contested March 5-7 in Johnson City, Tennessee.
Defending national champion Aubrey Baxter, of Black Hills State won the weight throw competition with a throw of 19.79 meters. Brown finished second, bettering her school record mark of 17.82 meters with a throw of 18.84 meters.
Coach Adam Hinders' women's team finished 21st out of 39 in the national event.
