Des Moines, Iowa - The Midwest Collegiate Conference has announced it women's soccer All-Conference honors. Twenty-nine athletes were recognized as part of the All-Conference Teams as voted by the coaches; fourteen to the First Team and fifteen to the Honorable Mention Team.

Viterbo senior forward Ashley Sorenson (Reedsburg, Wis.) was selected as the MCC Player of the Year. Sorenson lead the MCC in nearly every offensive statistical category in 2008: goals (1^st - 11), goals per game (1^st - 1.38), points (1^st - 23), points per game (1^st - 2.88), game-winning goals (1^st - 3), shots (1^st - 41), and shots per game (1^st - 5.12). She was the MCC Offensive Player of the Week four times this fall.

For the second consecutive year, St. Ambrose head coach Jon Mannall was selected by his peers as the MCC Coach of the Year. In his sixth year at the helm of the Queen Bees, Mannall led his team to a 7-1 MCC record and the MCC regular season and tournament titles and its first-ever berth to the NAIA National Championship.
