Des Moines, Ia. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) All-Region VII softball team has been announced. Nine of the eighteen members of the All-Region VII team were from the Midwest Collegiate Conference. The remaining nine were from the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference. Grand View senior catcher Paige Jensen (West Des Moines, Ia.) was selected as the NAIA Region VII Player of the Year. Jensen is currently batting .442 with 33 runs, 65 hits, 23 doubles, 13 home runs, and 45 RBIs. She was a First Team All-Midwest Collegiate Conference selection and the MCC Player of the Year. Olivet Nazarene University senior Lauren Chessum (Wheaton, Ill.) was voted the NAIA Region VII Pitcher of the Year.
