
Dubuque, Ia. - For the second consecutive year, the Grand View College and Mount Mercy College women's track and field teams will share the Midwest Collegiate Conference Track and Field Championship. Each team finished with a team score of 178. It was the second championship for the Grand View women and the fifth consecutive title for Mount Mercy.
St. Ambrose University came in third with 169 points, Clarke was fourth with 122, Ashford fifth with 71, Iowa Wesleyan sixth with 48, and William Penn was seventh with 48 points.
Grand View freshman Tabatha Carlson (Swea City, Ia.) was named the MCC Women's Track and Field Athlete of the Year. Carlson won the 100m Dash, the 200m Dash, the 400m Dash, was a member of the winning 4x100m Relay and 4x400m Relay teams, and finished sixth in the pole vault.
Mount Mercy head coach Ryan Scheckel was selected as the MCC Women's Track and Field Coach of the Year.
