The Midwest Collegiate Conference announces it weekly honors. Receiving honors are: Justin Waring (Men's Track - Mount Mercy), Matt Hilby (Men's Field - Mount Mercy), Alyssa Maher (Women's Track - Mount Mercy), Lindsay Guerin (Women's Field - St. Ambrose), Joey Grant (Baseball Pitcher - William Penn), and Jorge Quintero (Baseball Player - Iowa Wesleyan).

Men’s Track
Justin Waring – Mount Mercy (FR)

Waring placed 3rd in the 800m run with a conference-leading time of 1:59.34 and anchored the Mustangs 4x400m relay to a 2nd place finish in a conference-leading time of 3:31.64 at the Central Methodist Easter Open.

Men’s Field
Matt Hilby – Mount Mercy (SR)

Hilby won the Javelin with a conference-leading throw 168’4” at the Central Methodist Easter Open.

Women’s Track
Alyssa Maher – Mount Mercy (SO)

Maher placed 1st in the 100m hurdles with a conference-leading time of 15.45 seconds, placed 2nd in the 100m dash with a conference-leading time of 13.23 seconds, and anchored the Mustangs 4x100m relay to a 3rd place finish in a conference-leading time of 53.11 seconds at the Central Methodist Easter Open.

Women’s Field
Lindsay Guerin – St. Ambrose (JR)

Guerin placed 1st in the Pole Vault with a conference-leading and SAU school record vault of 9’8½”. She also placed 3rd in the High Jump with a conference-leading jump of 4’10¼”, and placed 4th in the Triple Jump with a conference-leading jump of 32’4¾” at the Augustana Early Spring Opener.

Baseball Pitcher
Joey Grant – William Penn (JR)

Grant struck out six batters, gave up just three hits and one walk, and did not allow a run until the seventh inning in the Statesmen’s 3-1 win over #13 St. Ambrose.

Baseball Player
Jorge Quintero – Iowa Wesleyan (JR, 3B)

The Tigers went 4-0 behind Quintero who hit .500 with 6 hits, 5 runs, 4 doubles, a home run, and 10 RBI.
