Des Moines, Ia. – The Midwest Collegiate Conference announced it men’s basketball all-conference honors. Twenty athletes were recognized as part of the all-conference teams as voted by the coaches; ten to the First Team and ten to the Honorable Mention Team.

Clarke College senior guard DeMonte Bynum (Milwaukee, Wis.) was voted as the MCC Player of the Year. Bynum averaged over 36 minutes per game and was among leaders in several categories in MCC play this season: scoring (1st – 22.0 ppg), assists (1st - 4.69 apg), steals (2nd – 2.25 spg), assist-to-turnover ratio (2nd – 2.08), three-pointers made per game (1st – 3.63), three-point percentage (11th – 36.9%), and free throw percentage (7th -81.9%).

“This is a great honor for DeMonte. He is the type of player that really makes this team go. DeMonte is a leader and a winner and makes everyone around him better,” Clarke head coach Jon Davison said.

Grand View junior Rohan Greaves (Melbourne, Australia) was selected as the MCC Newcomer of the Year. Greaves, a 6’5” guard/forward, transferred to Grand View from Ellsworth Community College. He led the MCC in three-point field goal percentage this season (51.8%) and was among leaders in three-point field goals made per game (2nd – 3.14), rebounding (6th – 6.9 rpg), field goal percentage (10th – 48.2%), and scoring (12.7 ppg).

"Rohan is an unbelievable addition to our team as both a player and person,” said Grand View head coach Denis Schaefer.

“This honor is well deserved and we look forward to Rohan accomplishing even more goals during his time at Grand View.”

Clarke College head coach Jon Davison was selected by his peers as the MCC Coach of the Year. Davison led the Crusaders to a 12-4 MCC record that included an upset of nationally ranked and league-leading William Penn. Davison, in 12th and final season at Clarke, will retire at the end of the season having compiled over 500 wins as a head basketball coach and has spent 42 years in the coaching profession.
