Forest City, Ia. - The St. Ambrose women's golf team put together a second round of consistent play today at Bear Creek Golf Course to win its second consecutive Midwest Collegiate Conference title. The Queen Bees finished with a final team score of 680, 25 strokes in front of second place Waldorf (705). Ashford placed third (728), Grand View was fourth (806), Iowa Wesleyan fifth (840), Viterbo sixth (841), and Clarke seventh (869).
Medalist Mallory Lovik (So./Forest City, Ia.) of Waldorf used home course advantage to post a second round score of 78, the lowest score recorded for both rounds. Lovik, who placed fourth in last year's MCC Championships, finished with a score of 160 (82-78).
In addition to Lovik, four others earned All-Tournament Team honors; Nicole Keeney, Michelle Machione, and Kelly Jansen, all of St. Ambrose, and Jordan Davis of Ashford , who placed second through fifth respectively.
