Oskaloosa--The Midwest Collegiate Conference has announced its academic all-conference honors for the 2012-2013 year.


A total of 752 student-athletes on the league's seven teams were honored on MCC all-academic teams in 15 sports, including a number of student-athletes participating in and receiving academic honors in multiple sports.

St. Ambrose led all schools with 179 recipients in 15 sports, including a high of 28 in women's track and field.  Grand View was next with 129 awards, also in 15 sports.  Clarke (107, 15 sports) and Viterbo (103, 15 sports) also eclipsed the century mark, while Mount Mercy (92, 15 sports), William Penn (81, 15 sports), and AIB (48, 7 sports) rounded out the list.

A total of 34 varsity student-athletes from within the league currently own 4.0 Grade Point Averages.

The honorees must have completed at least two consecutive terms at their current institution, have at least a 3.2 cumulative GPA, and play in at least one varsity competition.
