The Midwest Collegiate Conference has announced its weekly honors. Receiving honors were: Jill Ginder (Women's Basketball - Iowa Wesleyan), Christian Awah (Men's Track - Ashford), Steven Hughes (Men's Field - Grand View), Javaras Thomas (Men's Field - William Penn), Obsie Birru (Women's Track - Grand View), Katie Burnett (Women's Track - William Penn) and Lauryn Camp (Women's Field - Grand View).
Women's Basketball
Jill Ginder - Iowa Wesleyan (Jr., Guard, Olney, Ill.)
Ginder scored 16 points and added four steals, leading the Tigers to an MCC Tournament championship game win last week.
Men's Track
Christian Awah - Ashford (Fr., Willow Springs, Ill.)
Awah placed 14th in the 60-meter hurdles at the NAIA Indoor Track & Field Championships, finishing in 8.39 seconds.
Men's Field
Steven Hughes - Grand View (Sr., Grimes, Iowa)
Javaras Thomas - William Penn (Jr., Miami, Fla.)
Hughes finished fifth in the heptathlon at the NAIA Championships to earn All-American status in that event, while Thomas placed fourth in the triple jump to also earn All-America honors.

Obsie Birru - Grand View (So., Des Moines, Iowa)
Katie Burnett - William Penn (Jr., Mesa, Ariz.)
Birru was second in the 5,000 meters, finishing in 17:27.52 and earning All-American honors at the NAIA Championships. She also helped the Vikings finish 13th in the team competition at the championships. Burnett was second in the 3,000-meter race walk, finishing in 14:35.29, and earned All-American honors for the third straight year.
